§ REPORTING SYSTEM
The numbers that matter. In one place. Every Monday.
Replace the Monday-morning spreadsheet drag with one weekly report — sales, traffic, marketing performance, financial position — pulled from every tool you already use, summarised in plain English, alerts when something moves.
§ THE PROBLEM
Five tools. Five reports. One day every Monday.
Every business we work with runs on the same broken pattern: GA4 has the traffic, Shopify has the sales, Meta has the ad spend, Klaviyo has the email performance, Xero has the financials, the CRM has the pipeline. Five exports. Five tabs in a spreadsheet. Five hours every Monday morning copying numbers across. By the time the report is written, the week is half gone. The reporting system replaces that with one weekly delivery you can read in five minutes.
§ WHAT'S IN IT
Six things, every reporting system.
Source connections
We connect every place your numbers live — GA4, Shopify, Meta Ads, Klaviyo, Xero, your CRM, your booking system — into a single layer.
The weekly report
One PDF or web dashboard. Five minutes to read. Five sections: traffic, sales, marketing performance, customer behaviour, financial. Built around your business — not a generic template.
Trend awareness, not just numbers
Each metric shown against last week, last month, and last quarter. Plus a one-line written summary explaining what changed and why it matters. AI-assisted; human-checked.
Anomaly alerts
If something material moves — a 30% drop in conversion, a campaign that's leaking money, a category that suddenly stops selling — you get an email. Not a dashboard you have to remember to check.
Read-only access for the team
Whoever needs to see the numbers can see them — without anyone having to forward a PDF. Permissions kept tight; no client data shared with third parties.
Quarterly review session
Once a quarter we sit down (Google Meet) and look at the trend lines. What's compounding, what's flat, what to change. The report becomes a conversation, not a deliverable.
§ HOW IT RUNS
Four phases. Three to six weeks end-to-end.
01
Map
What numbers actually matter for your business? Most reporting projects start by listing 40 metrics and ship 40 metrics. We start by ruthlessly cutting to the eight that decide the next quarter.
02
Connect
Source connections built and tested against real data. Anything that won't connect cleanly gets flagged early so we know what we're solving for.
03
Build
Dashboard layout, weekly summary engine, anomaly logic, alert email templates. Reviewed against three weeks of your real data before launch.
04
Operate
Reports start landing every Monday. We tune the summary copy and alert thresholds for the first month. After that, you have a living system.
§ COMMON QUESTIONS
What people ask before booking.
What's a reporting system?
A custom CH Digitals build that pulls weekly numbers from every tool in your stack — GA4, Shopify, Meta, Klaviyo, Xero, your CRM — into one place. Delivered as a PDF or web dashboard, with written summaries explaining what changed and why. Replaces the manual Monday-morning spreadsheet drag with a single source of truth.
What does it cost?
Project-priced from a written quote after the discovery call. Most builds sit in the $4K–$12K range depending on how many sources need connecting and how custom the metrics are. Optional ongoing retainer if you want us tuning the report each quarter; many clients run it independently after launch.
How long does it take to build?
Three to six weeks end-to-end depending on source complexity. Source connections are usually the long pole; if your tools are common (GA4, Shopify, Meta, Klaviyo, Xero, HubSpot) we move faster. If you have a custom CRM or proprietary system, we'll know on the discovery call.
Can you work with our existing dashboard tools?
Yes. If you already have Looker Studio, Power BI, or a Notion-based reporting setup, we can build inside it rather than introducing a new tool. We pick the right surface based on who needs to read the report and how often.
Will the AI summary make things up?
No. The weekly summary is generated from real source data, then human-checked before delivery for the first month so you can sanity-check the tone and accuracy. After that we rely on hard rules and audit logs to catch drift. If a number can't be sourced, the summary flags it rather than guessing.
Does this replace our accountant or marketing agency?
No. The reporting system gives you the visibility to have better conversations with both. Most clients send the weekly report to their bookkeeper, marketing agency, and management team. The agency or accountant still does their work — they just have honest numbers to work from.
