What Changed in AI Tools This Week? CH Digitals SOP Audit — 4 May 2026

Every Monday I audit the SOP library against what's actually changed in AI tools and platforms over the previous week. This is the first one. Here's what we found.

This week's audit checked Claude, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Canva, Xero, and Google Drive workflows against the eleven SOPs in the CH Digitals library. No breaking changes were found. All eleven SOPs remain verified through the most recent stamp date of 28 April 2026, with this week's audit confirming the workflows are still current. Two areas flagged for closer attention next week.

This is the first What's Changed post. Every Monday morning, I run a fifteen-minute audit. I open Claude, work through a standing checklist, and review every Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in the library against what's actually changed in the tools they reference over the past seven days. If something's changed, the SOP gets updated. If a step is no longer accurate, the affected sections get rewritten and the PDF gets rebuilt. The "Last Verified" date stamp on the SOP gets bumped.

This post is the public record of what happened in this week's audit. It runs every Monday. It's the simplest way I know to keep a promise: every SOP is verified weekly. Not "we'll get to it eventually." Verified. Weekly. By a real person, against the actual platforms, with the changes posted in public.

How the dates work

Each SOP carries two pieces of information: the most recent verified-through date stamped on the document itself, and the most recent audit date which is published here in this weekly post. When the weekly audit confirms no changes, the verified-through date stays the same — there's nothing to update. When the audit finds a change, the SOP is rewritten, the verified-through date is bumped, and a new PDF is published.

Right now, every SOP in the library carries a verified-through date of 28 April 2026. This week's audit (4 May) confirms those workflows are still current. Next week's audit happens 11 May.

If a SOP's verified-through date is more than two weeks behind the most recent audit, that's a flag — it means we found something but haven't shipped the rewrite yet. You'll see that called out explicitly in the audit table when it happens.

Notes from this week's audit:

The audit went smoothly — a good baseline week to set the cadence. Two areas flagged for closer attention next Monday: Claude's connector menu had a subtle reorganisation that didn't affect the workflow but moved the Settings location for Drive Cataloging, and Canva's AI Connectors feature is rolling out more broadly which may change which plan tiers can save files back to Google Drive. Neither warrants an SOP update this week — but both are worth watching.

The library at a glance

The current library is eleven SOPs:

  1. Build AI Dashboards from Documents (NotebookLM + Gemini Canvas)
  2. Set Up Claude AI for Your Business
  3. Build a Social Media Content Calendar with AI
  4. Write Any Business Email in 5 Minutes — primary lead magnet, free with email signup
  5. Get Quality Results from Any AI Tool — free version teaches the 4-Pillar Framework
  6. Automate Your Weekly Report with AI (Meta, GA4, Xero)
  7. Create a Branded PDF in Canva Using AI Content
  8. Build a Client Onboarding System
  9. Use AI to Write Product & Service Descriptions
  10. Set Up a Basic AI Agent Workflow (No Code)
  11. Manage Your Google Drive with AI Assistance

All eleven are available individually, as a complete library bundle, or included in SOP Library membership — which is what makes the always-current promise economically sustainable.

What's coming next

The next SOP in the publishing queue is SOP #012 — Use AI to Draft Job Quotes from Voice Notes, scheduled to publish Monday 18 May. It's been in field-testing with two regional service businesses for the past fortnight. I'll preview it in next Monday's What's Changed post.

The roadmap currently has nine more SOPs queued after #012. Cadence is one new SOP every two to four weeks, audited weekly alongside everything else.

Why this matters

Every "ultimate guide" you've ever downloaded was current the day it was written and starts going stale a week later. AI tools change weekly. Meta and Google change monthly. The whole space moves quickly enough that a PDF written in February is half-wrong by June, and nobody updates the PDF.

The way around that isn't to stop publishing PDFs. It's to commit publicly to keeping them current — and prove it every week.

That's what this post is. Not a feature update. Not a marketing announcement. The receipt for a weekly job that protects the people who downloaded an SOP from being misled by stale steps.

If you've subscribed to the SOP Library membership, this is what your subscription protects: access to the current library, future SOPs as they're released, and the weekly maintenance that keeps the workflows from going stale. The membership also includes access to an AI-powered tool inside CH Digitals' AI Tools Suite, which generates personalised growth plans on demand.
